On Friday, October 30, 2009, Cardinal Francis George, Archbishop of Chicago and President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, will be the Cathedral’s honored guest at a luncheon in his honor to benefit our Cathedral Church. Our Cathedral Choir School will also provide a musical component to this great occasion.
Would you like to meet Cardinal George and have an opportunity to ask a question of the President of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops? His Eminence is a member of several Roman Congregations and the Vox Clara Committee of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments. Just this past week, Cardinal George issued USCCB statements on Catholic view of the Health Care Debate and refined the USCCB’s position in dialogue between Catholic and the Jewish community.
A buffet luncheon will be served and a donation of $50 per person is requested. Seating is limited, so make sure to reserve your place today for this exciting event. Reservations may be made by calling the Parish Office.
